Dr. Kinsey Shultz Piatz

Dr. Shultz is a North Dakota native, where she was raised on a ranch. She has been practicing family medicine since 2008. The first 10 years of her career were spent in ND, working for one of the hospitals in the area. She was fortunate to work in a clinic with 2 of her mentors - the family doctors she saw while growing up! They were instrumental in her decision to choose family medicine. Throughout her career, Dr. Shultz has prided herself on having the "small town doc" mentality. She attributes her strong work ethic to her ranching background. She prides herself on treating her patients like family. Dr. Shultz fell in love with the Black Hills, and moved to the Piedmont area 2 years ago. She is excited to see her vision of small town medicine come to life at Foothills Family Health & Wellness.

Dr. Shultz enjoys having the opportunity to care for multi-generational families. She has a special love for women's health and pediatrics. She delivered babies for the first 10 years of her career, and then enjoyed watching those children grow. While Dr. Shultz does not deliver babies any longer, she still enjoys forming relationships with the youth of our community.  Dr. Shultz continues to offer full spectrum family medicine. This includes everything from well child visits, sports physicals, adult physicals, acute care for illness, and chronic disease management. She also provides aesthetic services such as Botox and filler. She is also excited to be offering platelet rich plasma therapy, a form of regenerative medicine, which encourages the body to heal itself.

Dr. Shultz attended medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She then went on to complete her family medicine residency in Sioux City, Iowa. Dr. Shultz is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Outside the office, you can find Dr. Shultz spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys riding horse, going to rodeos, cooking, and reading. She has also discovered gardening and canning. Dr Shultz has a love for travel, which usually includes an annual trip to the NFR. She also enjoys adding to her collection of cowboy boots!
